To provide and sustain a safe space where all youth have opportunity for development, empowerment, and support.
Vision:
All youth are included as valuable members of a community who are rich with experiences and are able to identify their positive contributions to self and other.
Values:
Individualism – The moral stance, political philosophy, ideology, or social outlook that emphasizes the moral worth of the individual.
Community – A common sharing of thoughts, ideas, and perspectives where individuals have common ground and common cause for the greater good.
Choices – Awareness that one’s choices are their responsibility and we all have the ability to make reasonable, healthy choices.
Self – “Awareness of one’s true potential, character, motives, etc.” Understanding the experiences that shaped you… good and bad. Realizing what your beliefs are and living by them
Accountability -Holding one’s self, first and foremost, responsible for actions, reactions, and outcomes.
Integrity -Demonstration of clear honesty and truthfulness.
Diversity -Mutual respect, interest, inclusion and appreciation for individual and group differences.
Shared Power – All members of a group have power and influence within the group and the leadership, mission, and goals of the group.
